Excellent. Scratches to the back including a patch of deeper ones in the mid back. Only light marks to the front. Inside has some dirt still and a bit of haze. Just a little wear on the top. A very thin line of bubbles curves from the mid front, through the L of Ltd and diagonally down the back coming around to below the front left embossing. The embossing itself is lovely and strong. Great colour. A super rare and significant Australian beer bottle. Fosters earliest known embossed bottle. From the period just after W. M. Foster had sold the business and the Foster Brewing Co Ltd was formed (Late 1889). The bottle made in the shape of the imported German lager beers of the day Grade: 8 Estimate: $10000 - 15000
