Good. Edges and spine are rough. Some pages are folded and marked. Some stain. But most are in really good clean shape. Despite numerous warnings throughout the book "Not to mutilate pages" there have been many illustrations and some whole pages cut out. Nonetheless hundreds of labels remain. And the astonishing part is they are reproductions of actual labels covering in particular Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania & New Zealand. The introduction at the front is dated September 1898.
