Two chinese ginger jars. Grey glaze, large and small. Chinese Round grey ginger jars. Large with lid. 132 & 94 mm. Late 1800s - 1900s
Large is Excellent. Some fine hairlines coming down from the lip short distances. 18 x 7 mm chip at the base edge. Indent in the lid from making. Some nibbles under the rim of the lid. A bit of crazing. Quite crude. The small one is Good. Has a few hairlines down from the lip, one is a crack at the upper part being open and can feel with a fingernail. Star shaped group of shorter hairlines to one side. Burn mark from the kiln on the side. Faint marked characters on the base. Nice pair of jars. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 50
