Very Good. Partially filled 16 x 14 mm chip to the left top. Rest of the top, neck and shoulder is in great shape with a lovely strong stamp as well. Fine 160 mm hairline down the back from just below the shoulder to mid back. Another very fine hairline across the base and about 70 mm up the front. Bear in mind the whole lower section is pretty roughly finished by the potter and would have been sent out in a wicker basket originally. This is a very rare Demijohn from an iconic if somewhat forgotten early Victorian vineyard. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $600 - 800
