No base mark. (New South Wales) Aerated Water Crown Seal Skittle. Spun finished top. Amethyst & Aqua. 6 oz. 193, 185 & 192 mm. 1910s-1920s
1. Fair. Oiled internally. From the front lip down the front half of the body are 8 separate bruises up to 9 x 12 mm at the largest. The rear half has 5 separate bruises. Flakes and chips around the base edge and heel. Scuffs and scratches throughout with some fisheyes as well. Rare bottle in this colour. 2. Very Good. Crude fold in glass to right upper neck from making. Some light inner haze and dirt. A few surface fisheyes to be found. Some scuffs and fine scratches. Tiny surface flake to trade mark. Only minor marks to the embossing in general. In this unpolished, shiny condition, this is one of the better examples that I have seen of this bottle. 3. Very Good. Light haze scattered around. A few impacts to base edge, one has an associated surface flake. Scuffed to left mid body. Some other scuffs and scratches scattered around. Some fisheyes and impact marks. A bit of fine wear to some of the embossing. Hard to get bottle, we have a purple example in this auction as well as a pictorial example! Grade: N/A Estimate: $60 - 80
