I. J. K. Cohn / Southern Cross / & / Coolgardie // Acme Patent / 4 / Sole Makers / Dan Rylands Ld / Barnsley. No base mark. (Western Australia) Aerated Water Codd Applied top. Acme Patent. Cobalt. 13 oz. 233 mm. 1880s
Very Good. Polished. Some minor inner neck haze. The words Trade Mark around the neck lugs are a bit light. The G of Coolgardie has a 7 x 5 mm nibbled chip taking out the top half of the letter. Some scuffs and scratches remain. Scattered small fisheyes, and a few impact marks. Tiny impact to front left upper lip. Some minor scuffing around the base edge with some minor impact nicks and fisheyes. A great polish job, the embossing is still quite good, even the rear ACME PATENT embossing which is usually barely legible is quite clear and distinct on this one. An all time classic, this is a rare chance to purchase a great example with a minimal $1,000 start price and no reserve! This is from the World famous Russ Smith collection from England. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $6000 - 8000
