Pedestal pickle with unusual scalloped neck. No base mark. Goldfields Pickle Applied top. Aqua. 1 Pint. 222 mm. 1850s
Good. Polished. Remains of some fine etching. Surface bubble or two. Remains of scratches throughout and some pitted marks. Some fisheyes. Looks to be a small smoothed over butterfly chip to the lower body. Couple of nibbles to base edge. Solid example of a rare and sought after pickle, this is the first we have seen with this neck design. Grade: 6.8 Estimate: $1250 - 1750
