A. M. Sayers / (AMS monogram) / Registered / Horsham. Base Mark: M. (Victoria) Aerated Water Codd Applied top, tooled finish. Four way pour Dobson style patent with four dimples. Aqua. 6 oz. 198 mm. 1910s
Very Good. Light haze and dirt internally. Looks like a fair bit of this will come out with a good soaking clean. Little nibbled surface flake above front dimple. Some little fine fisheyes around the chamber and upper body and the lip as well. Impact to front left heel has a small nibbled flake from it. Line to upper rear body is a fold from making. Some light scuffs around the shoulder. Heavy embossing has some nibbled wear in places. Short deep scratch to front base edge. Extremely rare, I have never seen another small Sayers codd from Horsham in the western districts of Victoria. Ann Sayers had an aerated water factory, she also held the license for the Green Park Hotel in Horsham which was attached to store as well. The licence was renewed in 1905. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $1000 - 1500
