1. Fair. Polished. Chip to inner lip has been ground out. Little piece of copper stuck in a small burst bubble to front lower neck groove. Chip to left lower rear has been ground out, remains of grinding near base edge as well. Impact surface flakes and fisheyes throughout. Little pitted marks, scuffs and scratches. Bubble near rear base is fractured around the edges. Crate wear across embossing. 2. Good. Stained. Little nick to rear lip. Crudely blob of glass below front lip has a flake at the end. 23 x 10 mm discoloured butterfly type bruise to lower front left. Deep nibbled impact below front base edge. Pitted scratch to left chamber. Some other fine pitted scratches, fisheyes and impact marks scattered around. A bit of high point wear to the embossing. Hard to get in this early version. 3. Very Good. Some wear, scuffs and scratches throughout with some fisheyes as well. A bit of light haze in places. Little thin flake to lower front is likely a glass pull from making. 4. Very Good. Hazy throughout. Some outer grime will soak off. Shallow 7 x 8 mm chip to left outer lip edge. Spot of deep wear to upper rear, another to upper front. Little pitted scuffed scratch to front left base edge. Some little fisheyes and impacts. Scuffs and scratches to be found. 5. Good. Stained throughout, this has a yellow appearance so may have been lacquered many years ago. Little impact flake to left base heel. Deep, pitted scuffed scratch to right chamber. Some other pitted scuffs and scratches which aren't as deep. Some fisheyes and little impact marks. Grimy throughout. A bit of surface rust to lower rear, amongst this is some surface flaking in a small section. A bit unusual to get such an early variation of this later style, must have been one of the first non-pictorial codds made for this company. Grade: N/A Estimate: $80 - 120
