B. T. Moore / Norwood. Potters Stamp: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo. (South Australia) Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump shape. All tan. Black print. 10 oz. 173 mm. 1910s
Excellent. Near perfect lip, just a tiny nick or two. Outer front left lip has a lump of pottery from making, a little wear to the high points of this mark. Shoulder edge is fine, just a couple of spots of rust. At the front upper body there is some minor surface rust, there are a couple of tiny glaze flakes amongst this, barely even the depth of the glaze itself. To right of this is a glaze miss type mark as well. The B has a surface scratch which is a tad rusty next to it. Couple of tiny surface glaze flakes to left side of badge. Left rear base edge has a minor shallow scrape mark next to a glaze miss, both from making. Couple of shallow flakes under the base below the potters stamp, these are likely potters pulls from making. Short deep scratch to lower right body, only a few millimetres long. Some fine scratches and minor marks. Print is a bit blurry in places from making, but still clear. The potters stamp is possibly the best impression I have seen for one of these, except that it is sideways! An extremely rare South Australian ginger beer, one of the rarest printed ginger beers in the state, and this is in great condition too! Grade: 8.2 Estimate: $3000 - 4000
