1. Good. 4 x 10 mm sliver to rear lip. Three other lip flakes and some wear. A few very fine lip glaze hairlines. A little shoulder wear. 10 x 5 mm flake under front base edge, a few other little flakes around the base edge and heel. 12 x 7 mm potters blowout amongst badge has taken out the word trade, this appears as a chip, but is glazed over from making. A few other little glaze pops. A little fine glaze wear in places. Black marks scattered around seem to be from making. 2. Very Good. A few fine glaze hairlines to the lip. 15 x 7 mm nibbled flake to front left base heel. Rusty coloured discolouration throughout. Small glaze nick or two. The NICH of Nicholson has not printed at all in making, making this a J. P. Olson variation! A little wear in places. A lovely dumpy shape. 3. Excellent. Tiny glaze flake to upper front right lip. Some grime which will clean off. A few glaze misses around the shoulder and elsewhere on inspection. A few fine scratches to the right. Tiny chip to base heel at front. 4. Fair. Chips, flakes and wear around lip. Rust to neck and upper right, this is chunky in places. Wear and a couple of flakes to shoulder. Heavy wear to body. Fine flakes and wear to base edge. Some discolouration. A few glaze flakes. 5. Very Good. A bit of fine wear to upper front lip. A bit of fine wear to sharp shoulder edge. Same to the base edge. Small flake or two to base edge. Potters blowout near base edge. A little surface rust in places. 6. Good. Wear and flakes around the upper lip. Some glaze wear to the body. Dark mark to the left is on the surface and should soak off. Couple of thin slivers under base are likely potters pulls. A little discolouration. Grade: N/A Estimate: $100 - 150
