Pair of items: (English Coat of Arms) / Castell & Knapton / Dispensing Chemists, / Darling Point Pharmacy, Sydney. Base: Impressed - Maw / D1. (New South Wales) 2. Morris's / Imperial / Eye / Ointment / Infallible Cure / for all / diseases / of / the eyes. (With a fitting base) (Victoria) Pot Lid Various 1. Small round pot base. Black & White. 2. Small round lid. Black & White. 62 & 47 mm. 1890s
1. Poor. Chips around the base edge of 19 x 5 and 20 x 5 mm. Looks like it has been soaked in bleach at some stage for cleaning and there are powdery and bubbled sections. Been sticky tape around the shoulder holding a lid on (no lid now) and where the sticky tape has been a crocodile skin type effect has appeared in the glaze. Probably a good base but needs a long time soaking in water and even then may not hold up. 2. Fair. Two chips to the face of 13 x 5 mm and 9 x 3 mm. A few little chips and fleabites around the bottom of the flange. Looks like an early example with the print almost impressed into the flat surface. Fitting base has some chips and crazing. Grading for lid only. Grade: N/A Estimate: $15 - 25
