(New South Wales) Tobacciana Ash Tray 1. Bakelite irregularly shaped ash tray. 2. Triangle shaped plastic ash tray. 3. Heavy clear glass ashtray with red paint. 4. 1. Good. Not sure what material this is, bakelite, plastic or something along those lines. There are some bubble type marks to the inner tray part, evident on both the upper and under side. A bit of grime and some scratches. Linked to a well known winery, Barrie Drayton's tenure was cut short in an untimely manner, as reported on 4th February 1978 in THe Canberra Times, "SYDNEY: One of the Hunter Valley's best known vignerons Mr Barry Drayton, 41, suffocated in a gas-filled stainless steel tank which he was cleaning at his Pokolbin winery on Wednesday. 2. Very Good. Hard grime to inner base, this may clean off. A couple of faded spots. Some scratches. Some grimy areas. A few scratches through the print. 3. Very Good. Not sure on age, but guessing around 1960s. Little flake to base edge. Wear through the paintwork to the heel where this would sit on the table. Some grime around the upper edges. Scratches to the inner surface from use over the years. This is quite a heavy item. 4. Excellent. Made in Italy on the rear of this one. A great ash tray in this shape. A couple of small chips to the flared out lower edge. A couple of minor discoloured spots. Some fine scratches and minor marks. Grade: N/A Estimate: $30 - 50
