Kinloch & Co / Daylesford // Trade (K B in an Oval) Mark. Around heel: Made by the Melbour // ne Glass Bottle Co. No base mark. (Victoria). Aerated Water. Lamont. Applied top. Aqua. 10 oz. 230 mm. 1880s
Very Good. (7.5). A little rust to the lip, this should soak off. Tiny lip nick. Looks ever so slightly dull internally, this looks to be a film of dust? If so, it should soak out. Some scratches to lower neck on trade mark side, these are a little scuffed but not deep. Couple of scuffed marks and scratches around the lip too. Little impact nick to heel. Couple of pitted scratches to lower body and some other scuffed scratches and marks too of a lighter nature. Crate wear to the heel embossing. The main embossing is good with a some patches of high point wear but nothing major. A few little fisheyes and impacts. Some other scuffs and scratches to be found. Near the R of trade is a tiny impact flake. Below the trade mark there is another small flake over only 3 x 1 mm. A really good example of this rare country Victorian lamont bottle, the first we have sold.. Estimate: $400-600
