N/A. (N/A). 1. Good. But there are several filled chips around the top and these join up in places too. The largest are at the front and right and are down about 12-13 mm. Surface is scuffy and worn. Some deep scratches and rust stain on the back. Large indent at the back near the potters stamp is glazed over. 15 x 10 mm filled chip at the front right base edge. Crazing throughout. Hard to get. Could use a clean and finishing on the repairs. 2. EXC. A beauty. A bit of light stain in places. Pinprick mark on the lip. Great stamp and glaze. An oversized top! Lovely ginger beer. 3. EXC. Shallow chips on the lip of 4 x 2 and 2 x 1 mm plus another fleabite or two. Kiln firing crack to the inner top. Rust stain with some crazing on the shoulder. Shallow 12 x 5 mm chip at the right base edge. Couple of other little stain spots. Nice stamp and glaze. 4. Fair. Not sure exactly how much has been filled but the whole front top and a few mm of the neck has been painted over. A couple of small filled chips at the back. Glaze kind of gives up half way down the bottle and the lower half looks washed out but it also seems like it has left the pottery this way. Bit of stain. Glaze and stamp seem similar to the CAP stamped bottles but could also be from one of the Brunswick potteries. 5. Good. The bottle generally is a lovely example with great glaze. But there is a fine but obvious hairline of 95 mm down the front neck over to the right front shoulder. To the right of the hairline in the lower tan part of the glaze is a filled mark of 9 x 7 mm, I'd guess this is a kiln blowout? 6. Fair. At least three quarters of the top lip has been filled down to about 5 mm. Four or five hairlines around the top and neck, all are fine but are discoloured. Also these all peter out amongst general crazing that appears all around the top, neck and shoulder. Bit of stain otherwise. Really good stamp. Small kiln blowout to the right of the stamp at mid bottle. This one displays Ok and would be worth tidying up. (late Ern Taylor Collection). Estimate: $150-250
