T. Stokes / Trade (Kangaroo) Mark / Bunbury. No potters stamp. (Western Australia). Ginger Beer. Impressed. Champagne. Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 210 mm. 1890s - 1900s
Excellent. (8.4). Top of the lip is great. A short scrape or two on the edge of the lip. The underside of the lip has 5 or 6 small chips up to about 5 x 4 mm. Body of the bottle is in wonderful shape with nice glaze and small iron spots and the like throughout. The stamp on the word Bunbury is a bit weak but the name and trade mark are very nice and crisp. Looks like a small 9 x 3 mm kiln mark to the lower mid back. 4 x 3 mm glaze chip at the back base edge and then a fleabite or two and some glaze wear around the base edge generally. A very nice example of a rare and attractive Western Australian Ginger Beer.. Estimate: $4000-6000
