T. Ball / Registered / Trade (Bull's Head) Mark / Bulli / NSW. Potters stamp: Mashman / Chatswood. (New South Wales). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Salt glaze with sand blasted print. Dump. 10 oz. 173 mm. 1900s
Very Good. (7.1). 11 x 8 mm "chip" to upper rear lip, this is glazed over and from making. However, there is actually a 4 x 3 mm flake on top of this - does that make it a chip flake? Small kiln kiss to left lip. Some fine spots of upper lip wear. Some fine wear around the shoulder, there is a smallish potters blowout to the right rear shoulder. 13 x 7 mm flake to front right base edge. Another small flake or two and some wear around the base edge. Discoloured slightly scuffed scratch to upper right. Spot or two of rust. Making marks, including an iron spot type mark to the cow's nose. Some minor spots of wear to the body. Nice example, Ball used to sand blast all sorts of items, we have a nice selection in this auction. Estimate: $100-150
