Cast Iron Shoe Last.. Metalware. Cast Iron. Cast Iron Shoe Last. About 175 mm long. Early 20th century
Very Good. (N/A). Plenty of rough marks but look to be from making. There are some other knocks and marks. Some corrosion. This has two different sized "shoes" and a heel shaped protrusion as well. Obviously, this is quite heavy. The word 'last' comes from the old English word 'laest,' which means 'footprint.' Lasts were used by the Greeks and Romans as far back as 400 BC. Estimate: $30-50
