Large hexagonal green glazed Chinese Teapot.. Chinese. Teapot. Hexagonal. Fancy Handle and spout. Green glaze. About 180 mm. 1850s-1890s
Very Good. (7.5). Has a lid which seems to be right, I did just find that on a certain angle with your tongue hanging out to the left, this lid actually can fall inside! Getting it out requires some skill and a refined technique, but is possible. End of spout has some nibbled wear. A bit of wear to the edges at the end of the handles as well. A few potters blow outs from making. Some sticky tape residue to the top where the lid has been stuck down. Some scratches and tiny nicks in places. Nice example of this Australian found Chinese teapot, we have sold a couple of larger examples before, doesn't look like we have sold this 180 mm tall size before. Estimate: $200-300
