Cobalt tapered hexagonal. Very distinct corners. Base: Very flat, polished pontil? Ink, Glass Applied top. Tapered hexagonal with extremely distinct edges and base. Cobalt. 1 oz. 55 mm 19th century
Excellent (8.3). This is made like some of the early decanters with the base polished flat and the edges polished flat to give it very distinct features. You could just about cut yourself on the corners on the sides and the base edge they are that distinct. Tiny nick or two to base edge. The polished base has plenty of scratches from use over the years. Tiny nick or two to edges. Not sure on age, but looks to be fairly early. Quite a wonderful and unusual item. Estimate: $50-75
