Goldfields Salad Oil: Medallion Oil. Remains of round pontil to base.. Goldfields. Salad Oil. Bulbous panelled lower and mid sections. Raised medallions around the base, including some faintly remaining ones to the back. Ring to neck. Applied top. Aqua. 12 oz. 253 mm. 1850s
Very Good. (7.8). Polished. Lip may have just been ground in a little. Some hazy spots. A bit dull in the base. Some swirled lines of bubbles. Small indent at the base edge, possibly a small polished chip although the way it runs up looks like a manufacturing mark. Minor surface marks remain. Really nice example of a very scarce Victorian Goldfields era bottle. Particularly hard to get in this larger size.. Estimate: $800-1200
