H. Ovenden / Whittlesea. Base Mark: A G M. Plain stopper. (Victoria). Aerated Water. Internal Thread. Applied top, tooled finish. Aqua. 26 oz. 260 mm. 1920s
Very Good. (7.7). Has the stopper it was found with in place, which I feel is original. It is an oddly straight, plain stopper. Couple of small spots of surface rust. Some dirt and grime which will soak off. Small nibbled impact to first N of Ovenden, the S of Whittlesea has a shallow sliver over it, couple of other letters have really small flakes, otherwise it is mostly really good and strong embossing. Some short scratches, a couple are a little discoloured. One or two little impact nicks to the surface. This was found decades ago with a few others in Whittlesea, it would have been given a quick rinse and then stored away until now. Since these were found, no others have ever surfaced. A rare bottle! This is from the late Roy Millar collection.. Estimate: $750-1000
