Very Good. This demijohn has the original wire handle which is solid, but rusty. Original stoneware internal thread stopper. There is a crack to one side which has discoloured, this is about 190 mm long, but is a tight crack which should soak out to be much less visible. Being double stamped this demijohn can be displayed easily with no visibility of the crack. There is wear through the glaze to the external part of the lip, which would be from the wire handle rubbing on the lip when the demijohn was being carried. There are some other spots of wear which are small. There is some discolouration, but mainly on the side from which the crack is also visible. This is a very rare demijohn which displays beautifully.
