Rogers & Coy. / Aerated Water / Ginger (Bottle) Beer / Manufacturers / Lismore, N.S.W. Potters stamp: Price / Bristol. Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump shape, blob top (in fact rust stain under the bottom of the neck suggests a lightning stopper was used on this bottle). Tan top, white body, blue print. 12 oz. 186 mm. 1900s
Good. Body of this bottle is very nice with just some very minor flakes under the base and a couple of pinprick type marks on the glaze around the shoulder, one being a slightly larger glaze flake at the front shoulder. The top and lip however has a bit of damage. On the top of the front lip is a 25 mm crack with chips around it and extending down the front lip is a 4 x 6 mm shallow chip. The lower part of the front top has a fine hairline in a wide U shape that in total extends around 45 mm, the lower 20 mm part of this is largely hidden by the rust stain. The back lip has a deeper 12 x 6 mm chip and a hairline extends from this about 10 mm but only in the inner neck. Some scratches to the body and minor wear. Bottle still looks quite good on display and with a bit more of a clean up to the top will be a nice example. Grade: 6.7 Estimate: $100 - 150
