Chester Lodge / Cordial (Anchor) Works / Camperdown. No potters stamp. Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump shape, blob top. Impressed. Brown salt glaze. 10 oz. 164 mm. 1890s
Fair. The top has an extensive chipped area around the front two-thirds of the lip (in an arc the chips go around approximately 50 mm of lip and at the back is roughly 25 mm that is OK). This chipped part is relatively even and when looking from the front has lowered the whole outside of the lip by about 1 mm. For best explanation you will need to check the pictures. Rest of the bottle has a rough surface from rolling in sand or similar, the glaze is quite worn throughout. Couple of small pottery blow outs including one on the right shoulder. Impressed stamp is very strong. Around the base are some small nibbles and light flakes. Quite a rare ginger beer but with problems. Grade: 5.75 Estimate: $40 - 60
