Glass made in France / Bourne . Johnson & Latimer / Grandma's / Feeding / Bottle / London . E . C / Regd No 116728. Stopper embossed: Rd No 116728. Household Baby feeder Spun finished top. Clear. Boat feeder. 8 oz. 190 mm without stopper. 1900s
Excellent. Light wear to inner neck, presumably from cleaning with bottlebrush between feeds. Similar wear at base, also from bottlebrush, in form of very light scratches. Touch of very faint residue stain internally. Usage wear on the back where the bottle rests, in the form of extensive scratches and scuffs. This is a very crude piece, it has an indent in the right rear shoulder from manufacture, looks like a finger fits perfectly into this groove. Also, a most unusual drip of glass at the top of the embossing, looking down the neck you can see this drip entering a good 6 or 7 mm. From the outside looking down, there is a small cavity here, with some minor fleabites around this mark. Stopper is original and equally as crude, possibly has a small chip, but may be from making, there is a small fracture near the ground thread, again probably from manufacture. This is a most unusual feeder. Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $40 - 50
