Stamp's / Myrrhine / Tooth (EBS monogram inside sun in diamond) Trade Mark Paste / Prepared only by / Edward B. Stamp Hampstead. N.W. / London. Pot lid Tooth Paste Black print on white lid. Rectangle. 94 x 61 mm. 1880s
Excellent. Has some crazing. There are a couple of small stains to the face, one under the L. At the bottom front edge is a couple of short glaze hairlines, both about 10 mm, and hard to see. The top edge has a similar one which joins up with some heavier crazing coming onto the face. Some rust stains to the side flange and underneath. Crazing is heavier underneath and rust coloured in instances making it look like hairlines. There are some tiny glaze flakes where the lid joins the base from use over the years, these are all very small. This comes with a base, which is heavily crazed, with a few flake chips and an odd rough speckled appearance underneath. The grading is for the lid only. Grade: 8.6 Estimate: $125 - 150
