Excellent. Close to Near Mint this one but just has a few scratches and marks spread around the body of the bottle, one deeper scratch under Wilson is only 5 mm long. Tiny and shallow flake to the collar below the top at the front. E of given has a flake chip to it. Shallow flake to front body with a couple of fisheyes near this. Under the base on one side below the seam line is a little 4 x 2 mm surface bruise. On the other side base edge is a very shallow 3 x 2 mm flake. A couple of other pin-prick type marks that you can feel around the base. Great looking bottle and quite a rare Melbourne Hotel bottle. From the same proprietor (J. A. Wilson) are the well known, and scarce, Palace Hotel codds. Grade: 8.55 Estimate: $125 - 150
