Jensen & Huston // Manufacturers / Ballarat // (Coat of Arms). Aerated Water Torpedo Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 239 mm. 1870s
Very Good. Polished. A few small impact marks around the lip and some scratches. Impact marks amongst a scratch near the second A of Ballarat, these are over 30 mm or so, and consists of a couple of small flakes to the glass. Other scuffs and scratches are still evident after the polish job, including some pitted type scratches. Impact type mark to pointed base that has a horseshoe shaped very shallow chip and associated fisheye, this measures a total of 6 x 7 mm. It is hard to see, but there is actually a fine fracture on the inner surface of the pointed base at this point, this is about 10 mm long. This has not been overly polished, the embossing is still clear and the seam lines still prevalent. This is a very early bottle which is extremely rare! Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $1250 - 1500
