Small cobalt bottle with 6 Chinese/Japanese(?) characters on one side, 5 on the other, and another character under the base. Goldfields Chinese Small cobalt medicine bottle. Cobalt. 59 mm. 1900s
Excellent. Discoloured bubble or bruise on the upper lip, this is small, 2 x 2 mm. A couple of other smaller impact marks on the upper lip next to this. Very fine dirt internally. Some light external scuffs. Made like a typical Essence bottle (but cobalt), we have never seen this style of Chinese medicine bottle before! Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $30 - 40
