1. Excellent. Chip on the lip 18 mm long although the way it raises at the end suggests this was from manufacture. Some rust stain, scratches and scuffs. Very crude item but no real damage and nice item with the lid. (8.1). 2. Excellent. Lots of crude marks and gaps in the glaze. Some light spots of rust/stain on the surface. Crazing throughout. Minor flakes around base edge. Nice little ginger jar. (8.4). 3. Very Good. Some stain, scratches and scuffs over the surface. Crazing and discolouration over the glazed area. Lid has a couple of fine crack to edges. (7.6). 4. Fair. There is a 14 x 6 mm hole in the base with some hairlines around it. Large chip and a couple of other chips to the lid. Glaze is heavily worn and stained, the lower part has some flakes to it. Jar looks OK on display as it is quite crude anyway. (5.3). 5. Excellent. Very crude with all sorts of manufacturing imperfections. Some light rust stain and minor scratches and marks. Nice little jar. (8.4) Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 50
