Mother Mary Joseph Aubert's remedies were marketed as the New Zealand nun's medicines. On April 15th, 1893, the Oakleigh Leader in North Brighton, Victoria explained: The Marupa: All people are liable at any time to suffer from colds in the head, sore throats, bad coughs etc, and which, if not attended to in time, lead on to worse complications, such as asthma, lung disease, consumption and general bronchial affections. A cold In the head is a very troublesome thing, MARUPA can cure it. All sufferers from chest complaints are advised to give it a trial; satisfaction is bound to result. The wholesale and retail depot was at 284 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Advertising in Australia was prevalent during 1893 and the first half of 1894. The only other advertising to appear was in 1904 in two editions of the Camperdown Chronical, where F. Oakley & Co were the sole agents. This is the first example of this great New Zealand cure bottle that we have seen. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $10 - 20
