FOWLER (impressed in lip - 2 mm tall lettering). Ginger Beer Impressed Short dumpy shape. Grey glaze. 8 oz. approx. 165 mm. 1840s
Very Good. Displays better. To the side top is a shallow 9 x 4 mm inner to top of lip chip and from this down the outer lip is a 42 mm hairline. Back shoulder has an 11 x 2 mm gouge that looks to be a manufacturing fault. 1.5 x 1.5 mm blowout on top of the front lip. Upper body has a glaze flake or two. Some spots of rust. Great colour, pretty good stamp that is just slightly weak on a couple of letters. A hard to get stamp (2 mm straight line Fowler) and very unusual on the lip. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $500 - 650
