O'Neill Bros / Trade (ONB Monogram in a circle) Mark / North Fitzroy. Base mark: Diamond with something inside. Aerated Water Codd Codd original or One way pour. Applied top. Aqua. 32 oz. 311 mm. 1890s-1900s
Fair. It's possible this is the worst embossed example of these known! First time we looked quickly at it we thought it was plain! Anyway, it is embossed and the H of North is actually quite strong. There is a shallow 10 x 3 mm chip on top of the back lip. Glass is dull, scuffed and scratched all over, extensive crate wear to the upper region. Incredibly crude codd bottle, probably made by Caledonian glass works or similar. Also extremely tall for a marble bottle. Worth having a go at cleaning up or just keeping as an oddity of early glass making in Australia. Grade: 5.5 Estimate: $30 - 50
