Hunter Bros / Trade (Greyhound) Mark / Sandhurst. No makers mark. Aerated Water Torpedo Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 235 mm. 1880s
Excellent. Quite shiny, blemish and haze free internally. The right side blob lip has a scuff mark or two. Down the right side behind the seam line are a series of scuff marks and scratches, including a small deeper scratched section near the point. Under the U of Hunter is a scuff mark, there is a scuffed scratch above the Bros. Some other lesser scuffs and scratches to be found scattered around. Two small open bubbles to the rear have a bit of dirt in them. Tiny impact mark at end of R of Hunter, a few others scattered around including the tiniest of nibbles to the rear neck. A superb, well embossed example of this extremely rare bottle bearing the early name of Sandhurst instead of Bendigo. Grade: 8.2 Estimate: $750 - 1000
