Around shoulder four times: PALMS. On body: This bottle is the property / of Bengal Chutney Co / Brisbane. It is not / sold with the contents. No base mark. Household Chutney Applied top, tooled finish. Aqua. 26 oz. 372 mm. 1910s
Very Good. The oddest effect to outer lip in the form of heaps of flake like marks, some to upper neck as well. Some scuffs and scratches. Another large and odd mark to upper body below shoulder. It is a deep 20 x 25 mm crater (for want of a better word). Some of the embossing actually curved down into this chasm, and so it very much appears to be a making mark. There is a scratch below this. 5 x 5 mm impact mark under base. Interesting example of a scarce bottle. Grade: 7 Estimate: $40 - 50
