Pair of T.Field GBs both impressed: T Field / Potter / Sydney. Ginger Beer Various 1. Dump shape. Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 2. Dump shape. Impressed. Salt Glaze. 7 oz. 1. 160 mm. 2. 150 mm.. 1850s-1860s
1. Very Good. A little nick on the inner lip and what looks like a very small glaze kiss but possibly a chip on the outer left lip over 5 x 4 mm. Some wear around the shoulder and two chips - 10 x 5 mm and a deeper 5 x 4 mm one. Hairline from under lip, down 40 mm to shoulder and then down about 20 mm on the rear. A few small chips around the base edge. Beautiful glaze and a good, generally strong stamp. Nice looking bottle. (7.2). 2. Good. A very noticeably smaller sized bottle. Flat patch on the back lip looks like a kiln kiss. There is wear and little flakes all around the shoulder. Some general wear elsewhere. The impressed stamp is obliterated in places by fingerprints from when the clay was wet - kind of a nice crude touch. This is a very heavy little bottle. Interesting little bottle. (6.9). Grade: N/A Estimate: $100 - 150
