Goldfields cricket belt buckle depicting a cricket bat across the middle, multiple stumps with two cricket balls, one named W. G. Grace and the other G. F. Grace. Goldfields Buckle Rectangle belt buckle with a W G Grace theme. 60 x 46 mm. 1870s

Very Good. Dirty with some corrosion, bends and wear. A few dints as well. Has the bar across the back to hold the belt, this has separated at one end. W G Grace is regarded as the greatest English cricketers of all time, having played an amazing 44 seasons of first class cricket from 1865 to 1908. Lesser known G F Grace (Fred) was his younger brother who also played Test Cricket from Enlgand. Fred died of pneumonia on 22 September 1880, prior to his 30th birthday!
