Scotsman inkwell attributed to Melrose Australian Pottery. Ink Australian Inkwell with white and blue glaze. Approximately 85 mm. 1930s
Very Good. 24 x 3 mm scrape through the glaze to front on the edge of the Scotsman's hat. 10 x 3 mm flake through glaze at the rear of his hat as well. 7 x 4 mm spot through the glaze to the left edge of his hat. Glaze crazing throughout. This is the same shape as the Scotsman inkwells produced by the Melrose Australian Pottery in Brunswick, however it is unmarked. The base on this one is unglazed as well.
