Superb bulbous ribbed pottery jar with lid. Pottery Australian Two tone, tan top, off white body. Bulbous with twisted ribs to body. 102 mm. 1920s
Excellent. Couple of light marks to lip are glaze misses. There is a potters stamp, which initially I though was Fowler, but secondary inspection makes us unsure as to what the stamp is. 10 x 4 mm chip to base edge. Crazing throughout. Crude pottery marks with some dints and glaze misses from making. Lid has some wear to glaze, this fits nicely. A most unusual piece of pottery. Grade: 8 Estimate: $50 - 75
