Mint. An absolutely stunning piece of extremely rare Australian pottery. The Melrose Pottery was part of the Hoffman Brick Company in Brunswick. The pottery closed in the early 1940s. Most of the wares were single coloured, often green. This Toby jug in the form of a lady is exceptionally rare, and exhibits the rare multi-coloured glaze in some lovely tones. This has the standard crazing, otherwise is spotless. Grade: 10 Estimate: $500 - 750
