Very Good. A little bit of wear to some of the gold leaf. 12 mm hairline to inside of jug at one end of pouring spout. Finer, smaller one at other end. 15 mm hairline to inner edge near handle. A few darker marks further into the jug from here are actually lumps from making. Inner hairline over about 30 mm near inner base where the handle attaches to the bottom, this is not visible from the outside. A few scratches to the handle. Some body scuffs in small places. A superb jug from the Crimean War. The Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation was a charitable body set up by the Royal Warrant in the United Kingdom during the Crimean War. It provided assistance to the widows, orphans and other dependants of members of the armed forces. By January 1855, the fund had already raised £550,000. Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $200 - 250
