Very large "plain" Bellarmine jug with a 3 stippled into the neck. Stoneware Bellarmine Grey glaze with reddish-brown patches. Crudely tooled top. 3 Gallon 423 mm. 1700s-1800s
Very Good. Lip has some glaze wear and an area of missing glaze and/or flaking to the back top. 8 x 5 mm chip to the side lip. Base edge has some small flakes and chips. Body has scattered marks. There are some hairlines, fine cracks and areas of crazing. An impressive piece of stoneware. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $100 - 150
