Sold for A$820

S. Mason! (Yes, the last character actually looks like an exclamation mark at the end of the name) (Albury/Wodonga Bottle). Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Dump shape. Salt Glaze. Impressed. 10 oz. 163 mm. 1850s-1870s

Excellent. Some tiny flea bites around the shoulder and base edge, probably more accurately described as a bit of wear. Some faint discoloured crazing through the body. Some light surface wear. Nice, strong impressed stamp. Good colour. These bottles were probably used by Samuel Mason senior both at Albury and Wodonga during his very early days of ginger beer making. Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $700 - 1000
