Double sided advertising light shade for C. T. Skewes Chemist. Signs Glass Double sided hanging light shade with black paint. 370 mm approx. 1940s
Excellent. Quite an interesting item, this would likely have hung down over the front door of a chemist shop capturing the attention of passers by going in each direction. The copper fitting is in good condition, although discoloured. The milk glass has a few little flakes to the ground rim under this fitting. A little grime otherwise, but pretty good. The black advertising that has been painted on has some wear and scratches through it. A wonderful piece. Charles Samuel Trevelyan Skewes had his Final Exam in Victoria, 12th September, 1905.
