Large Chinese Earthenware Storage Jar. Four tie down loops around the shoulder. Dark and light brown glaze. Chinese Stoneware Round bulbous shape. Four tie loops around neck. Brown glaze. About one and a half Gallons. About 330 mm. 1850s-1860s
Excellent. All around the lip is chipped and has pottery blowouts. A lot of this looks like from manufacture and/or when the jar was opened originally. Very few marks anywhere else. Great example of one of these Australian found jars from the Goldfields era. Grade: 8 Estimate: $150 - 200
