White Star Line, Twin Screw R.M.S "Adriatic". 24,563 Tons. Ephemera Post Card Multicoloured post card. 87 mm high. 1910s

Very Good. A great piece of maritime memorabilia. RMS Adriatic was an ocean liner of the White Star Line. She was the fourth of a quartet of ships measuring over 20,000 tons, dubbed The Big Four. The ship was the only one of the four which was never the world's largest ship; however, she was the fastest of the Big Four. The Adriatic was the first ocean liner to have an indoor swimming pool and a Turkish bath. The Adriatic was in New York on 15 April 1912, and many of Titanic's rescued passengers traveled back to Britain aboard her. This post card has to the rear: The largest "Cabin" Steamer in the World. Length 726 feet, breadth 75 feet, depth 58 feet. 10 mm tear to right side with a crease down to the bottom from here. Bend to top left corner. Vibrant colours, a little discoloured with a few spots of stain. Grade: N/A Estimate: $20 - 30
