Pair of Ginger Beers: 1. Acme Co / Acme Co / Coolgardie // Coolgardie. Potters stamp: Stiff / H / Lambeth. 2. Acme Co / Coolgardie, WA. No potters mark. (Western Australia) Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered 1. All Dark Tan. Impressed. 13 oz. 2. All Tan. Impressed. 13 oz. 169 & 162 mm. 1890s
1. Excellent. A few tiny spots of wear to upper lip. A bit of rust below the blob top. Some fine wear with one or two little flakes to the shoulder edge. Two kiln kisses to the left hand side. Couple of fine glaze flakes and spots of wear to the body, there are some scratches to be found as well. The base is glazed on this one. Nice dark colour, this is a great example. 2. Good. Repair to front lip, not sure of extent, maybe up to 20 mm. Looks like a flake has been repaired to the high side of the front shoulder as well. Some flakes and nibbles around the base edge. A few short scratches through glaze to body, some other discoloured scratches and some rust spots as well. A little wear with minor flakes to shoulder edge. Some scratches to the glaze. A crude bottle, possibly made atone of the local WA potteries, maybe one of the SA ones, certainly looks to be Aussie made though. Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 70
