Mint. Moulded from original bottles, these then shrunk in the kiln and so are smaller than normal codds. Comes in the original box with original wood shavings and a tissue in top. Another for sale for Abbott's in this auction has a business card from the manufacturer and details on an original note. Made by Ceramic 5 Studio, 13 Russell Street, Invermay, Launceston. Early Tasmanian bottle replica by Garth Foley, information included on the purpose of a codd and also stating there were five factories in Launceston in 1910, Abbott's being the last which was taken over by Coca-Cola. Interesting piece, you do not see them often, but in the original package this is a great collectors piece. Grade: 10 Estimate: $$50.00 - $75.00
