A really unusual barrel bung from New South Wales. Has the usual knocks and marks you find on these but nice deeply stamped names. There was a Sydney Brewery at Burrundulla on the outskirts of Mudgee in the 1890s and a Mr Young was involved in the Federal Brewery in Mudgee itself in the 1900s so possibly he was at the earlier brewery for some time. Whatever the case the SB is likely to be the Brewery's initials. A lovely early piece. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$200.00 - $300.00
